INTRODUCING A NEW CONCEPT IN H2S MONITORING

MODEL 302/001 HYDROGEN SULFIDE PROCESS ANALYZERS

The Texas Analytical Controls’ Model 302/001 H2S Process

Analyzer was developed to relieve the need of companies having to

send technicians to the field to perform routine maintenance and / or troubleshoot equipment.

Presently, most companies are confronted with a shortage of technically qualified personnel who can be sent to the field to calibrate and service instruments. These days, the majority of computer-trained technicians are more comfortable and more productive with their PC than working hands-on on site.

At Texas Analytical Controls, we are well aware of this trend and in line with our constant efforts to help you; we have developed the Model 302/001 Featuring direct access through your computer.

You will be provided a TAC program that is Windows based. Directly from your desk in your office you will be able to perform the following functions:

Principles of Operation:

This technical innovation is the result of our development of a new way of communicating with your remotely installed equipment.

A communication is established between your computer and your analyzer by way of a telephone line with a modem or a radio transmitter.

The 302/001 Series uses a Solid-state sensor to detect the level of Hydrogen Sulfide.  The current output to the sensor is directly proportional to the rate of H2S present at the sensor. If H2S is present in the gas sent to the sensor, it will adsorb onto the surface of the sensor.  (Adsorption is a certain process by which molecules in a gas or liquid adhere to a solid surface.)  This causes chemicals in the sensor to conduct electricity.

The rate of change of the current through the sensor is proportional to the concentration of gas present at the sensor element.

Each analyzer is equipped with 3 H2S sensors.

If one sensor fails it will be deleted from the circuit and the analyzer will automatically go to the next sensor.

This is like having 3 H2S analyzers in one. Replacement of the 3 sensors is required annually.
